Yesterday was going great until around 4:00 when I got a call from my mom. We were on our way to Rich's parents house for a fun time when I got the bad news. My brother and sister-in-law and their 3 boys were on their way to New York for a week of sightseeing. About an hour from their destination they were pulling out of a gas station and were hit by another car. Instantly all of the windows shattered and the car was sent spinning. Gabriel, the oldest at just 5 years old, hadn't buckled himself into his car seat yet and was thrown from the car. Angels were watching over him without a doubt. He landed in a grassy area by the side of the road. I don't quite know all of the details because they are all still in Pennsylvania. Gabriel had 2 cuts on the side of his head that had to be stitched up and suffered a small scull fracture. He spent last night in the hospital and will be spending one more night there for observation. My sister-in-law, Amy, said that he is doing really well and loving all of the attention and all of the fun stuff they're giving him. We are all so happy that Gabriel is ok and can't wait to see him when he gets home!July 5, 2008
Not so happy 4th of July

IT'S A GIRL!!
Ok so I found out a few weeks ago that we are having a girl!! I waited and waited to post it because I wanted to do something cute and creative. I've finally come to the conclusion that i'm just not ever going to get it posted if I keep waiting. So here I am, 7 months and 1 week along. It seems like my belly just popped out over night! Our baby girl's name is Maya Silveria. Maya because we just love the name and Silveria after my grandma. We are just sooo excited to be having a little girl. She is pretty active. Not quite as active as Aidan was but she has her moments, especially in the morning and at night. Aidan has brought so much joy into my life and I can't wait to see my baby girl!

Ahhh, Paradise
Well I must say, as sad as I am to be leaving my family in Missouri, I am sooooo excited to live in paradise (Florida)! We have set our official moving date for July 21st. I am not looking forward to the 20 hour long, uncomfortable drive in a big Penske truck, on a bench seat that doesn't recline, with an 11 month old to entertain and being 7 months pregnant. But, I am looking forward to an adventure with my little family. Let the good times begin :)

Growing so fast!
Well it's not the best picture but he just wasn't cooperating. Aidan has his 2 bottom teeth now and loves to use them. He's actually had them for about a month now. He loves to bite down on the spoon and shake his head so that all of the food falls off. Oh it's just so much fun!
Just last week I sat down with him and rolled the ball to him. It took about 10 minutes for him to figure out what I wanted him to do. Once he figured out how to roll the ball back to me he loved it and didn't want to stop. Yes, I know I look very pregnant in this picture. Guess what...I am.
A couple of days ago Aidan fell in love with the pat-a-cake song. He gets so excited when we sing it. When I finish the song he grabs my hands and claps them together until I start over again. This goes on for a very long time. Because of our recent move to Branson for a month I haven't been able to post everything that has been going on. There is much more to come but don't forget to watch the video of Aidan's voice right below this post :)
Aidan's Voice!!
Yes, it's true!!! Aidan now has a voice. We went in on Thursday June 5th and got a passy muir valve that goes over his trach which allows air in his trach but forces it out of his mouth past his vocal cords. It was such an exciting moment. I started crying the second they put it on because I could hear the air coming out of his mouth. It took him a minute to make sound because he didn't realize he could. I took this video when the speech therapist stepped out of the room. This captured the moment he discovered his voice.

Doing good still...
Well he is being kinda consistent. He has done a lot better today than the past 2 days. He had been kinda fighting me when it came to drinking the bottle but once I got him to suck on it for a few seconds he wouldn't let go of it. Today he has been really good about taking it without much convincing. I think he will be ready to get the g-tube out in about a month. Can't wait!
