When I think of Halloween I’m taken back to a couple of years ago when Aidan and Maya were obsessed with this video from Yo Gabba Gabba.
Not sure why they loved it so much but they did. Anyway, on to this year. The kids have been asking me for weeks if it was Halloween yet. They were so excited this morning when the answer was YES! Both Aidan and Maya went to school in their costumes and had a party which Arabella and I also attended. This year Aidan was a pharmacist like his daddy, Maya was an owl (idea taken from Aunt Julie) and Arabella insisted on being a princess so she was a cupcake princess:D
Playing Bat Bat Ghost
We just kinda bounced back and forth from Aidan’s party to Maya’s Party. Here they were watching the teacher make a witch’s brew.
My girls!
“Who” is that?
I love this picture because this moment made me realize what a big girl Arabella is. Maya’s teacher told the class that if they could hear her to touch their nose and she did while half the class didn’t! Such a big girl.
Time to hit up the neighborhood!
First door
“That was so much fun!!! Let’s do it again!”
Arabella refused to go up to this door because of this creepy guy.
You know the saying, “Stop and smell the roses”? Yeah, that’s Maya. Everything distracted this girl from the next house. “Look mom, blueberries!”
Keep it going people!
It got too dark for pics without flash so I just stopped taking them. You get the gist, though. Our neighborhood was AWESOME for trick-or-treating! Several houses giving full sized candy bars (which Rich and I have confiscated) and one house even served homemade donuts which were divine! Most of the homes were so over the top decked out with Halloween décor. It was quite the experience. We were out for a good hour and a half and then it just got too dark. We got home and the kids dove right in.
Aidan separated the candy that he didn’t want.
What?!?! Who’s kid is this?
Arabella LOVES tootsie rolls. I mean L.O.V.E.S! She ate and ate and ate until we decided it was a time to put a stop to it. Oh, she was devastated and it was so cute!
She sat like this for about 3 minutes until daddy went to talk to her about it.
It was a great day and such a fun Halloween for the kids. I love seeing them so excited and happy. Happy Halloween!

Boy oh boy...we just should have stayed another week to join in the fun and share the chocolate! The owl costume turned out amazing and was perfect for Maya! Love the cupcake princess, too. The pharmacist is having a great time! What a great photographer you have!
So fun! I love their costumes!!
