~30 Weeks~

I’ve got lots of fun to blog about but haven’t the time to do it! Playing catch-up with cleaning my house but I’m seeing the light so I’ll be updating soon. For now, just a quick update on baby girl’s growth!
~30 weeks~

This is the first week that I am feeling like I want to be DONE! It’s mostly my fault though. I know that I have to keep up on taking my iron pills or else the anemia will make me feel like death and yet I allowed myself to run out along with constantly forgetting to take them. Week 30 was horribleSad smile My veins are getting much worse and most days I just want to gnaw my right leg off because it hurts so dang bad. My only comfort is that Julianne (my sis-in-law) and I have decided to plan a girls week getaway after I have this baby to go have our veins fixed. This brings me comfort.
Anyway, enough with the complaining which poor Rich never gets relief from…I have an announcement! We have spread the word and our family knows so now I can tell my blog and all 2 of the people that read it, the name we have decided on for our baby girl! She shall be called….
EVA!!!!
Awwww, I love it! We are still a bit undecided on her middle name and will probably wait to announce that until she is born but we both feel great about Eva and are so excited to add her and her cute little name to our family!

Can’t believe how quickly time is flying by! Baby girl will be here before I know it! I am excited to not have lower back pain and I am even more excited to hold a tiny little baby again.

~28 Weeks~

Here I am again, taking a horrible quality selfie:) Rich is home from his 3 week TDY but was very busy training for his 50 mile Ultra trail run that he ran in this Saturday(blog post coming soon) so I settled for this once again.

Here I am at 28 weeks! Feeling pretty great except for my miserable varicose veins that have decided to really act up and bulge and cause me horrible throbbing in my right leg. It is looking pretty unattractive and while I knew that would probably happen it still sucks to see my leg turn into a veiny mess…oh well.

I’m getting excited to have this little angel join us! It has been so fun for the kids to watch my belly grow and they are all SOOOO excited to meet her! They LOVE to feel her move and wait so patiently with their hands on my belly. They are constantly kissing my belly and talking to her.

This has been the most fun pregnancy because it is the first one where the kids are actually old enough to understand what’s going on. I just know they are all going to be such great helpers!
We have finally decided on a name but are still not positive on a middle name. We’ll make the name announcement when we’ve got it all figured out. This was the hardest name to pick but I love what we chose. So, just a few weeks to go and a whole house to prepare for her arrival. Lots to do, lots to do!

Baby Girl ~ 26 Weeks

Well, I was really going to try to keep up with the weekly picture updates of baby girl’s growth but Rich has been TDY and that really threw me for a loop. While I really hate taking self pics with my phone, I just really don’t have much of an option right now so here are a couple of baby bump pics:)

Maybe next time I won’t be running so late to church and I’ll actually clean the mirror before taking a belly pic!
I feel huge and can’t believe that I still have 3 months to grow! How big will I get this time around? We shall see!

Baby’s Big Ultrasound!

Last week I had my big ultrasound and it was such an incredible experience. I was so sad that Rich couldn’t be there because they were short handed at the Pharmacy but I was so grateful that I got a DVD. There is no audio which is a bummer because I think the technician and I were pretty entertaining;) The technician just kept saying how photogenic and perfect she is. She was so active and perfectly positioned so we could see all of her little shenanigans.
Right away she gave us a little wave by opening her little hand so we could see her fingers. She repeatedly pushed herself up with her legs. You can see her swallowing and even her little heartbeat. The technician was shocked at how long her legs are. She measured her thigh bone and said, “Oh my goodness! Is your husband tall?” I told her he isn’t and she said she had better remeasure and sure enough, she was right the first time. She said we might just get a tall one! At around 4:25 you can see the technician poke at her feet and then a few seconds later I poked at her too:D
(For some strange reason we couldn’t get the video on my actual page so you have to click on the link)
Driving home from the ultrasound I had the cheesiest grin on my face. I felt so completely overwhelmed with gratitude for such a perfect little girl growing inside of me. Seeing her made me so excited to meet her and gave me a sense of peace that everything was going to be ok. The technician repeatedly said, “she is so perfect” and in my heart I was hoping and praying that she wouldn’t have to come into this world fighting. The idea of having her come out with the ability to breathe had me in tears. I am so hopeful.

Making Progress ~ 21 weeks

Since I was horrible at taking pics of the progression of my first 3 pregnancies I decided that I can do better this last time around. I refused to have any pics taken of me up until now because I didn’t look pregnant, I just looked like I had put on a few pounds. Suddenly, just within the last week, my baby belly popped out!

I had an ultrasound last week that had me in tears with excitement! She has become so active and I feel her kicking me throughout the day and it just makes me the happiest momma on earth! I’m beginning to remember why we always do it again(despite that miserable 1st trimester). I am feeling great and really starting to enjoy this pregnancy. Feeling blessed.

I love this boy!

DSC_1256
Well, as it turns out, Aidan will be my one and only son. It’s so weird to think about that! I don’t know why but I always imagined I would have one more boy. Now, that’s not to say that I’m not SUPER HAPPY about baby girl…I am! It’s just really interesting finding out who will complete your family and knowing that is it. Weird feeling! I love that he is the oldest because I have always said, even before having kids, every little girl needs a big brother. Now 3 little girls have a big brother! I love it!
So, I wanted to post something that Aidan did today that made me laugh. Ok, well it actually made me sad and it made me laugh. He told me he was making a sign for his door, which he has never done before. The cartoon, Max and Ruby gave him the idea. He hopped up and got busy. I could hear him asking Maya how to spell her name. She thinks her name is spelled Myaa for some reason but that’s another story:) When he was finished he came and got me and this is what I saw.
DSC_1402
I could see that he tried to phonetically spell Arabella’s name, then he wrote his own then in some weird way, Maya’s and last, dad. I was so proud because this was the very first time he has ever attempted to phonetically spell anything! Then, he started to explain the sign to me…
Next to “ERUBLU” Arabella there is a frowny stick figure that is circled with a line through it. That means that Arabella is NOT ALLOWED to enter his room. Everybody else can but not Arabella. So sad! Aidan and Arabella have such clashing personalities and they just drive each other crazy! Maybe when they get older they will get along better? Maybe not.
Anyway, Aidan’s behavior has greatly improved and I’m so proud of him. He is my sweet big boy:)

It’s A………..

GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are going to have another girl and we (the girls and I) couldn’t be more excited! Haha! Let me explain. Both Aidan and Rich thought it would be cool to have another boy so that Aidan could have a brother, so Aidan didn’t hide his disappointment when he saw the pink balloons. Rich is, of course, excited because who wouldn’t be excited about being a daddy to 3 little girls?
The day after we found out that we were having a baby girl I felt her kick for the first time. That was an exciting moment. Since then, she has been a little wiggle worm! It is the greatest feeling when you feel that little life inside of you make it’s presence known for the first time. Joy. Pure joy.
Here are a couple more pictures from the gender reveal that my super thoughtful friend, Melissa, had for us. There was a little malfunction with the balloons and they didn’t just float out when we opened the box but as you can see, the surprise was just as exciting! I know I look like a complete nerd but I just could not contain myself!

Our awesome friends that set this up for us, the Jarnot’s and the Bingham’s. Ok, the wives did all of the work:)

Afterwards, we all enjoyed pink cookies and then went out to Brick Oven Pizza. It was a fun and memorable night and I’m so grateful to have such wonderful friends to share it with.
