This is always such a busy time of the school year with projects and feasts and then just regular life on top of all of that. Somehow we survived it though. Both Arabella and Maya had the assignment to disguise their turkey so he wouldn’t get eaten for Thanksgiving. I took Arabella to Daiso to pick out some supplies and she instantly fell in love with the fluffy pink stuff, of course. And anything made by Arabella has to have some sparkle so we broke out the glitter. The result? A glittery, fluffy bunny!
Then, Maya had her turkey to disguise. Her instructions said to disguise it as something that was special or unique to her family. I suggested a Mexican turkey because she is half Mexican. All I had to say was maracas and she was sold, haha!
Next came the feasts! Aidan and Arabella’s feasts were at the same exact time so Eva and I ran back and forth to eat with each one of them and then to watch their program. It was a fun time with lots of food!
The next day was Maya’s feast. Her teacher opted for a turkey sandwich feast which I thought was a really great idea because all of the kids seemed to enjoy the food much better.
She’s such a goof!
We call this her “mousey” look. She came up with it completely on her own and has been doing it for about a year. It’s basically how she begs, hahaha!
Fhew! With Thanksgiving over we continued on our daily adventures of every day life. Aidan got a redneck haircut! He hated it so I fixed it, lol!
The kids were really excited to set up the Christmas tree and asked us when we were going to do it every hour on the hour until we did. Not really but it sure felt like it!
See how about half of the lights on our tree are burned out? Well, it only took a couple more days before all but a couple dozen were goners. We have a very sad tree right now just waiting for it’s replacement lights. I love how my home feels this time of the year.
