Doing good still...
Well he is being kinda consistent. He has done a lot better today than the past 2 days. He had been kinda fighting me when it came to drinking the bottle but once I got him to suck on it for a few seconds he wouldn't let go of it. Today he has been really good about taking it without much convincing. I think he will be ready to get the g-tube out in about a month. Can't wait!

Feeding update
Yesterday Aidan drank 17 oz from a bottle. Today he had his first full oral feeding! He had 3 oz of baby food and then he drank almost 5 oz of formula. If he can be consistent for a couple of weeks we can say "goodbye g-tube...we won't miss you!"

My Miracle
Aidan drank 2 1/2 oz of pure liquid from a bottle! What a breakthrough the past half hour has been. I was trying to give him his sippy cup with the usual formula thickened by baby food and rice cereal. He would take one suck and push it away. I was having one of those moments where I'm almost in tears wondering when this is going to end and then a thought came to my mind...try a bottle! I was nervous to try because I didn't want to be disappointed but I just kept telling myself, "If it is Heavenly Father's will it will work". I tried one bottle and it didn't work. I tried another bottle with thinner formula and it didn't work. I tried my last bottle with half water half apple juice and he took right to it!! I feel like this is the breakthrough I've been waiting for. I hope this is the beginning of the end of the g-tube.

2nd Anniversary!
Yesterday was our anniversary. I can't believe it's been 2 years!! I guess it's like they say, "time flies when you are having fun". These past 2 years have been amazing. I love sharing every day with my best friend. It has been so exciting planning our lives together. We have come such a long way.
I remember when I first saw Rich. I had been home from my mission about 5 months and had no intentions of going to the singles branch. After some arm twisting by my friend, Lisa, I went. She convinced me to go a second time and that was when I saw Rich. He was with his brother Ryan and they were sitting right behind me. After sacrament meeting my friend dared me to turn around and talk to them. I wasn't looking for anyone to date so I felt I had nothing to lose. The rest is history.
We have enjoyed so much together and have so much more to look forward to. We have been blessed with amazing families, a beautiful boy, Aidan, another baby on the way, and the exciting adventure that awaits us in Florida for Pharmacy school. I love my companion and can't wait to spend many more years with him. Happy Anniversary Honey!

Smoochies
Aidan and Josalynn are sooo cute together! Aidan just learned to give "kisses" (always very slobbery). Well Aidan and Josalynn were playing on the floor together and Josalynn just leaned over to give him a kiss and he knew exactly what to do!
Aidan is doing great with his feedings. Yesterday he drank 2 oz of formula mixed with banana baby food for the speech therapist. She said something that I have only dreamed about hearing since he came home..."Soon we can start talking about getting the g-tube out." WOW!! Today he drank 3 oz! This is truly a miracle and a blessing. He also ate a whole jar of baby food in one sitting. We are going to see a dietitian to see exactly how much he needs to be drinking and eating to get the g-tube out. Lots and lots more to tell but I need to take pics first. I love the time I get to spend with Aidan!
