We’ve just been hanging out lately, doing a whole lot of nothing but spending time together which is awesome. These minecraft addicts have gotten really creative and built some cool stuff.

Notice the icky eye in the picture above…that’s from her accidentally poking it with a straw. The day after that picture this is what she looked like when she woke up.

YIKES is right! It was sealed shut but after a good cleaning it looked much better. Still sad but much better.

It is completely fine now thanks to an antibiotic. Also, she is awesome at letting me put drops in her eyes. She tries to keep her eyes open for me. Love her! Ok, so she is mostly awesome. I don’t always think she’s awesome on Sundays. She can be quite the terror actually.

She loves to bang on the metal bookstand and make a ton of noise. She discovered that if she bangs her head on the wall it also makes a lot of noise. Weirdo. Yes, her cuteness does help me not get so frustrated with her…usually.

My smart girl.

In other news, this is starting.

The man loves to run.

I’ve been sort of sucking at my project 365 but I’m not giving up. Gonna keep it as a goal even if I keep being lame at it. It keeps photography at the forefront of my mind and that’s a good thing. I took pics of one of Rich’s co-workers baby. I thought they turned out ok and as usual I learned what I need to work on{posing!}.

Spelling Bee!

My boy made it into the spelling bee!!! I am SOOOO proud of him! We got the list before Christmas break and had every intention of practicing during the break but that definitely didn’t happen. A couple days after school started up again he came home with this:

I was completely surprised because I had forgotten all about it. I guess they had a mini spelling bee in their individual classes and then took the top 3 into the grade level spelling bee. I got this note the day before the spelling bee so we had one night to practice.

The morning of.

There was a total of 12 kids.

He was so cute and SO focused when it was his turn.

He made it past round one but I think nerves must have gotten to him because he misspelled a word he knew during round two. He was beyond bummed. Like, pouting and almost in tears during the rest of the spelling bee. I, on the other hand, couldn’t stop smiling because I was so proud of him for making it in at all! Great job buddy! We love you!

Project 365

One of my resolutions is to get good enough at photography to qualify to shoot for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. It’s a dream of mine. So, I’ve committed myself to taking a picture a day! Picking up your camera every day is supposed to really improve your photography. I know it’s going to be hard for me because I can go days without thinking about taking a single picture and have actually already missed a day here and there but I’m excited for the challenge.

My pictures from the last 2 weeks:

I wanted this ornament to be my first picture of the year. This ornament was made by our friends the Ramos’. Derek and Emily recently passed away in an accident. The day before the accident they came in to the pharmacy and gave everybody a snowman ornament.

Happy Birthday Arabella!

Arabella had a spread out birthday celebration this year. We partially celebrated it with our friends in California but then spent the rest of the day driving home. We had an official party a week later at the trampoline place. We invited the Pilkingtons and Jennifer and Jorge. Everybody had a good jumpSmile

To finish off the party Abby gave the kids rides on the highchair. I think they could have done that for hours.
