We Did It!

5 MILES!!! WOOHOO!!! This is a great accomplishment for me. Before last Saturday, I had never run 5 miles. The most I had run without stopping was 2 miles. My goal for this run was to first of all, finish the race. Second, I wanted to run the entire thing. Yeah, you runners out there are reading this thinking, "Piece of cake". Well not for me! I am not a runner. Never have been. Just started running about a month and a half ago and I just had a baby 3 months ago! Odds were stacked up against me but I had my awesome friend Lori to help me beat these odds. We stuck together the entire time. It was so much fun! I ran the whole thing in 52:18. I'm excited for my next goal of the big 13.1. That's right, half marathon. Probably not really soon but I do want to run in one in the next few months. We shall see. Rich and I are still doing P90X. We are on week 2 and loving it:)

Hey Sen, Remember This?

This is my little sister, Yesenia. Say that 5 times really fast. I affectionately call her Sen, Senia, and sometimes even Lasagna. This is a picture of an ID sticker that all visitors had to have when they went to visit Arabella in the NICU.
This ID sticker happens to be hanging on my refrigerator bringing a smile to my face almost daily. Not only is it a really funny picture of her with a story that we will both always remember but it also reminds me of the awesome time we had together, hanging out. She came out to Florida for Christmas and was such awesome company to have, along with my entire family. We went to visit Arabella first. Sen got to meet her and hold her. It was hard to leave. Then we ate at Carrabba's. YUM! We laughed so much! Then we went to Dunkin' Donuts. Oink, I know. Ahhh Sen. You are such a fun, awesome sister. Miss you.
This is my totally AWESOME family!

You guys are so goofy!

Love

One of my greatest joys in life is seeing how much love there is between Aidan & Maya. It's so sweet and unconditional. One minute Maya will be screaming bloody murder because Aidan hit her on the head with a wooden mallet, and the next minute they will be giggling and chasing each other around the house. The other night I went in to cover Aidan with his blanket. He was already asleep. He heard me come in and he immediately lifted up his sleepy little head and squinted his sleepy little eyes and said, "Yaya?". He is always thinking about her and she is always thinking about him. They are the best of friends. Here is a video of Aidan and Maya slurping on a delicious smoothie.

Stinkers, keep me on my toes!

Blessing for a Blessing

Yesterday was a very special day for a couple of reasons. First, it was Arabella's 3 month birthday! Second, she was blessed.

She was surrounded by people that love her as her daddy gave her the most beautiful blessing. Our families couldn't come out for it but we are so lucky to have an amazing Florida "family".

She looked beautiful.

Arabella, you bring so much joy into our lives. We love you so much. Happy blessing day, baby!

Every Day

Not one day has gone by that I haven't stared at this beautiful face and been filled with love and gratitude. There is such a strong feeling that comes over me when I look at her and think about how close she was to not being here with me. Not being in my arms. Not being able to watch her grow and smile. I love her. I'm so grateful to have her.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT

Rich and I have a big announcement to make. We are EXPECTING...to lose a lot of weight. HAHAHA! I know, with our track record it probably wouldn't be too big of a surprise if we were "expecting", but we are not. We are, however, expecting to lose a lot of weight :) We've decided to start and support each other in some big exercise goals.
Goal # 1 :

We are doing it! We started tonight and are super excited about it.

Goal #2:

Running! Rich has always been a great runner. He has completed 2 triathlons and 1 half marathon. I, on the other hand, am not such a great runner. We have set a goal to run 3 times a week. I will also be participating in my first race! On March 20th there will be a 5 mile run in Downtown Ft.Lauderdale. About 5 of my girlfriends and I are going to run it! I am so excited and have been training for it. I'm almost up to 3 miles. Rich's goal is to be able to run a full marathon by this summer.

Weight Loss Goal:

My goal is to lose the 15lbs that have stuck with me after having 3 babies in 3 years.

Rich's goal is to lose 20lbs. He wants to get down to 170. I think he looks hot just the way he is:)

So, now I've announced it to all of you. If you see me in a few months and I look exactly like I do now you can call me on it. Wish us luck!
